Improved Design
The Pioneer is Mack’s most technologically advanced, efficient, and driver-focused model yet, with several features that are industry-firsts. It’s streamlined chassis design and windshield angle offer peak aerodynamic performance. Along with engine and transmission upgrades, the Pioneer delivers an 11% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to previous Mack models.
This model is also equipped with the new Mack MP 13 Engine with 415-515 horsepower ratings and an updated engine brake design that improves braking power.
Driver Comfort
The Mack Pioneer is available in 5 different configurations, allowing drivers to tailor their truck to their operational needs and comfort:
- Day Cab
- 44″ Mid-Roof Sleeper
- 64″ Mid-Roof Sleeper
- 76″ Mid-Roof Sleeper
- 76″ High-Roof Sleeper
The 76″ sleeper configuration features the FlexSuite system that allows drivers to rotate the the lower bunk up against the rear wall, creating more living space. From there, a fold-down dinette area can be utilized for relaxing and enjoying meals.
When driving, operators can experience Mack’s premium seating system, complete with expanded shoulder and headrest areas, dual armrests, and newly designed suspension options.
Ergonomics are also improved in this model with a push-button start and having the mDrive transmission controls moved to the steering column to allow for easier gear shifting, reducing driver fatigue.
Safety Features
Offered with the Mack Pioneer is Mack Protect, a new ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) that uses the latest active and passive safety technology for commercial vehicles. Frontal airbags will also be offered as standard equipment with the model along with a Digital Mirror System (DMS) that displays real-time views from outside your truck through in-cab video screens.
Borrowing designs from the construction industry, the Pioneer is equipped with improved cab entry steps with extended width and optimal grip surfaces. The truck also features interior grab bars and a structural dash extrusion for maximum functionality in all weather conditions.
Integrated Connectivity
Drivers can stay connected to their Mack Pioneer through the new MyMack smartphone app which allows operators to check truck status and control lights and HVAC systems remotely from their device. Being the most connected Mack truck ever, the Pioneer offers a considerable increase in remote diagnostics which enable over-the-air software updates.
