Redhead Equipment Supports the Moose Jaw Health Foundation’s Capital Equipment Campaign
Redhead Equipment donates $100,000 to the new Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2015 – REGINA, SK: Redhead Equipment is in the giving mood a little early this year with the recent announcement that they have donated $100,000 to the Capital Equipment Campaign for the new Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw. The new $100 million hospital officially opened its doors on November 6th, replacing the old Union Hospital which was built in 1948. Coincidentally, that was the same year Redhead Equipment got its start.
“The new hospital is enabling us to provide the best equipment possible for the people of this community,” noted James Murdock, Chairman of the Moose Jaw Health Foundation. “We have a brand new MRI which is the first of its kind in this province located outside of Regina and Saskatoon. We also have new CT and Mammography systems that in my mind would rival anything Calgary would have. This facility will alleviate a lot of strain from the whole province.”
The donation provided by Redhead Equipment will be going directly towards the funding of this and other equipment throughout the hospital. This new equipment is anticipated to attract more specialists and surgeons to the area to complement the provincial health care system.
“The healthcare sector has been the number one area that we support in Saskatchewan,” said Gary Redhead, President and CEO of Redhead Equipment. “We know so many of the families that live in Moose Jaw and have done business here for many, many years. This donation is about giving back to those that have supported us.”
This is now the fifth significant donation Redhead Equipment has made to local hospitals and healthcare affiliated organizations across Saskatchewan in just the past three years.
Murdock added, “this is a very generous donation. With the help of Redhead Equipment, the Foundation is able to better equip the hospital of tomorrow – today. It’s really going to do a lot for the entire region, and the province.”
