Employee Spotlight – Marsha Tedford
Marsha Tedford, Estevan – Parts Person
Marsha Tedford is a hard working mother of two who started her career in parts in the automotive industry. In 2008 she had the opportunity to join Redhead Equipment as a Parts Person, and over the past years has worked on and off, balancing being a mom and having a career.
Marsha describes a day in her life as busy, back and forth on the computer, communicating with service technicians to complete parts orders and ensuring they have everything they need to complete the jobs they are working on. She said “most of the time I deal directly with our technicians, and in the busy seasons we do take phone calls for customers, but mainly our own mechanics are my customers.”
One of the biggest challenges of her role is being efficient and fast, making sure everyone gets their parts on time. “Having happy technicians and in turn happy customers is rewarding; getting everything accomplished, making sure everyone is happy so they are set to complete their jobs is a really good feeling,” said Marsha.
We asked her what it was like working for Redhead Equipment as a company, addressing her time on and off and she said “the work environment at Redhead is really good, it’s a really fun company to work for, everyone is really easy going and always very helpful too. I’ve known most of the people here from the previous time I worked here so when I came back, it was almost like I never left.”
We asked Marsha what brought her back to Redhead after leaving to have kids and she said “I did miss the people mostly, always a really fun place to work, it was always in the back of my mind.”
