Employee Spotlight – Mallory Cappelle
Mallory Cappelle, Parts Technician – Estevan, 2 years
Mallory is a Parts technician in our Estevan branch and has been working with Redhead Equipment for two years. She works at the back parts counter, and she says every day can be really different, “I get parts orders together for the technicians in the shop, we receive emails from the technicians with parts they need for a job, we pull those parts together, and deliver them to the shop.”
Mallory said she enjoys working in Estevan “the branch is really cool, were like a small town so everyone kind of knows each other. At Christmas time this year we all pulled together and did a big Christmas display and everyone got to be a part of it.”
When we asked Mallory what she finds challenging about her role she said ‘the pressure to get parts as fast as you can, and sometimes they are very difficult to find, and to get them here in time for the guys to get going on jobs.” In return however, she said it’s really rewarding when you can find a part that no one else can find. Mallory says ‘Everything is different and there is always a challenge, it keeps me on my toes.” She mentioned a customer story about an old tractor clutch: “We had a clutch come in and no one would touch it, its not built, no one has it. So we looked and looked and we found a place that would rebuild it and got it done for the customer, it was from a really old tractor and he was really happy.”
We asked Mallory what really keeps her working here and she said the challenge “you get to do Ag, Construction and Trucks, so that’s everything in the parts field all wrapped up into one.”
Something her co-workers might say about her is she likes to get jobs done quickly and on time, and she is really straight and to the point.
We asked Mallory what she thinks contributes to Redhead Equipment’s longevity as a company, she said “the fact that we have a small town feel and we’re still family owned, but have the backings of a big company, so we can still get really stellar deals on parts for our customers.”
