Employee Spotlight – Kim Kutz

Kim Kutz, Parts Administrator – Lloydminster , 14 Years

Kim started working at Redhead Equipment 14 years ago at Reception when the company first bought out Lakeland Implements. The job then was a lot different than it is now and she helped in multiple areas including sales and parts and service, along with her administrative duties. “I gained a lot of knowledge in the position and after 1.5 year of being here they created a position for me that I’m in today. I continued with the parts paperwork I was doing at reception and they expanded on my duties as well” said Kim explaining her role.

As the Parts Administrator she works on a number of different tasks including, payables for head office, processing parts invoices, miscellaneous vendor invoices, placing stock and machine down orders, claims for damage and shortage parts orders, as well following up on tracking numbers for parts and more. With so much on the go it’s great to stay busy however one of the challenges is really finding a balance and trying to help out the rest of the parts department in general, if shipping is busy – go and help out there, or help out the parts guys and stay on top of everything to accomplish it all in a timely fashion. Receiving recognition and appreciation from colleagues for helping out is definitely one of the most rewarding parts of the job.

Kim says she enjoys the work she does and feels that she is good at it, and its part of what keeps her around. She also likes the people she works with, and the customers which make coming to work all the more worthwhile. “I’ve worked with people from other branches and find them easy to get along with and really enjoy our customers. If you don’t enjoy the people you work with you won’t enjoy your place of work much, so it’s really something to feel good about where you work, I’m proud to be a Redhead employee.”

Quick Questions:

Why do you think Redhead Equipment has been around so long?

“It’s a family oriented, family run business and Gary is so generous. I couldn’t believe how many community events the company sponsors until I had a friend point it out, as well as the numerous charities we support. It’s great to be a part of a company that likes to help out the province in other ways and make an impact on local communities.”

“Being a Saskatchewan run business, you know the industry and people and are able to build relationships throughout the industry within the province. You know the territory and how farmers in Saskatchewan work etc.”
