Employee Spotlight – Ian Loverick
Ian Loverick, 12 Years – Mack Technician, Regina
Ian started working with Redhead Equipment 12 years ago as a heavy duty technician for the truck and trailer division in Regina. Throughout his years at Redhead he has had the chance to work at other branches and expand on his experience in the field. He says, “you get to meet a lot of people in your travels and help them out where it’s needed, so far it’s been a great experience.”
For Ian a regular day starts at eight AM or earlier depending on how busy the shop is, he gets in to work and is assigned jobs diagnosing and fixing customer’s trucks. Ian says, “sometimes a customer needs a job done quickly to get back on the road and we at Redhead do whatever it takes to get the job done, which includes pulling guys off other jobs and working overtime; in the end it’s our customers that keep the business rolling.”
One of the challenges of working in his field is keeping up with new technology. The world of technology is always evolving and therefore our technicians are constantly going through training to learn about new innovations and updated technology. Ian says in contrast to that, solving troublesome problems and getting customers out the door satisfied is a very rewarding part of the job.
70 years: “The product lines carried and our ability to get work turned around for the customers and dedication to service for our customers is what we are known for,” Ian added.
