Employee Spotlight – Don Kromm

Don Kromm – Parts Manager, Estevan, 5 years

Don has been working with Redhead Equipment for five years now in the Estevan branch. He moved from BC to Grand Prairie where he continued working in the parts industry, and spent six months working in Lloydminster before making the move out to Estevan. Don started working in the parts industry in 1974, mainly in trucking and it wasn’t until he started with Redhead Equipment that he began working with ag parts, he said “It’s been quite a learning curve, I dabble in just about everything now, truck and trailer and now ag.” Don also mentioned sometimes trying to sort out the ag world is challenging, there is a lot going on and a lot of things to know and be aware of.

A regular day for Don involves looking after stock orders, keeping shop techs busy and organized, and taking care of our customers parts needs. He said his job can be really rewarding and he enjoys being in management even though some days are overwhelming. “I’ve got a pretty good team to work with and it makes the long days easier”, he stated. We asked don what he thinks contributes to the longevity of the company and he said, “the drive for customer service keeps us around. It’s known we will do Whatever it Takes to get something done, and I’ll do whatever I can to contribute to that by finding the parts they need.”
