Employee Spotlight- Craig Gagne

Craig Gagne, Product Support Representative – Saskatoon, 23 years

Craig Gagne started his career at Redhead Equipment 23 years ago in shipping and receiving. He quickly moved into the parts department where he worked for 16 years. For the past 7 years he’s been a Product Support Representative. For Craig, every day is different; when working at the parts counter the customers come to you, however in product support he takes the service to the customer. Depending on the day, everything can run smoothly. When it doesn’t, Craig steps up to make sure the customer is happy before he leaves a worksite.

Craig says one of the challenges of his job is trying to make everyone happy and the best reward of his role is the opportunity to meet a lot of people. He enjoys going out into the field and getting to visit the customers in their world: “it’s a rewarding experience,” he adds.

As Redhead Equipment celebrates its 70th year in business, Craig reflected on why he thought the company had been around this long. He says it comes down to Redhead Equipment being a leader in the industry, having many lines of product and well-educated, qualified employees: “If Redhead Equipment can’t get you up and running then I don’t think anyone will.”

Craig says his long tenure with the company is a testament to Gary Redhead’s reputation and the reputation he has built for the company. Craig adds, “It’s not like a large corporation where you’re just another employee number, at Redhead you’re a person. I admire Redhead enough that two of my kids work here as well!”

The long hours, the customer service dedication, it’s everything we are. We do whatever needs to be done, whatever it takes to keep the customers going and happy.

  • He’s a sensitive guy, likes to have fun and jokes around, but he really cares about people.
  • Really likes the movie Grease for the music and Gladiator for the history.
  • His favourite band? Definitely Nazareth.
