Employee Spotlight – Brian Felber
Brian Felber, Heavy Duty Technician, 25 years – Regina
This week’s Employee Spotlight, Brian Felber, has worked with Redhead Equipment for 25 years now as a Heavy Duty Technician for Construction Equipment. He spent 22 years on the road and has spent the last 3 years working back in the shop in Regina. Brian says “every day we get to take apart equipment, diagnose problems and put things back together, it can be fun, but there are good days and bad days.” Brian talks about the challenges of new evolving machinery that keep joining the market, with new technology comes a number of new challenges, he says, “new technology means new challenges and finding information on how to fix the newest technology can be a challenge in itself; they don’t see the problems coming until after they happen so getting the information and learning it proves its a challenge for everyone involved.”
Brian says to him the job itself is rewarding, “it’s a good place to work, when I was on the road by myself, the only person I had to please was myself and the customer. We have good bosses and good customers, you do your work and get the job done and they’re happy and you don’t hear from them.”
We asked Brian if he can relate to our tagline ‘Whatever It Takes’ and he reflected on a number of times where he would get called out on a Sunday to take a guy parts, a tire or something to fix a problem and get them back up and running, he confirmed “we do whatever we have to, to help the customer.”
Brian says there are a lot of good people working here at Redhead Equipment, and as long as you are doing your job well, you don’t hear about it and that has contributed to his long standing career with the company. He also speaks highly of Gary Redhead’s admirable leadership and how he treats and respects his employees.
