In the ‘Heavy Earthmoving’ category you can find the the Volvo LC450H Landfill Compactor and Volvo ECR355E Excavator.

The LC450H landfill compactor has an operating weight of 90,000 pounds and is powered by a 416-horsepower Volvo D13J engine. The HTL310 transmission has a lock-up converter delivering high torque output and excellent fuel efficiency. This unit can be fitted with a Terra semi-u blade or a straight blade and includes Comfort Drive Control (CDC) allowing the machine’s steering to be controlled by a joystick. The machine’s single lever control with integrated forward/neutral/reverse and first gear kick down give the operator the choice to control the transmission from his left or right hand.

Another unit, the Volvo ECR355E Excavator a 35-ton, short-swing-radius excavator—is a new size class for the range. The new model uses a 241-horsepower, Volvo D8 Tier 4-F engine designed to combine high torque and low-rpm operation, while delivering an 18-percent increase in horsepower, 28-percent increase in torque, and a 10-percent increase in fuel efficiency, compared with the predecessor model, the Volvo ECR305C.

The ECR355E is equipped with integrated work modes, including an ECO mode, and auto-idle and auto-engine-shutdown features are aimed at reducing fuel consumption. Serviceability features include wide compartment doors, ground-level access to maintenance points, grouped greasing manifolds, and anti-slip plates. The reversible cooling fan adjusts automatically to cooling demands, reducing fuel consumption and sound.

Also available at Redhead Equipment in the ‘Paving and Compacting’ category is the Dynapac MF2500CS Material Feeder.

Being the only 2.5 meter feeder on the market, the Dynapac MF2500CS combines easy and cost effective transport – no permissions needed – with impressive feeding capacity. Transport 30 tons of gravel, sand or asphalt to its destination in just 35 seconds.

The MF2500CS models use a Cummins QSB 6.7-C220 engine, providing operating speeds in excess of 80 feet per minute and a transport speed of approximately 2.5 mph. Ergonomic features integrated into the new MF2500CS include Dynapac’s Clearview platform that can raise the operator station 3 feet with the touch of a button, enhancing visibility. The operator platform on each side of the feeder also allows for swing-out functionality, and can pivot 90 degrees for maximum visibility. The new models are fully automated through the integration of distance-control and feeding sensors, and the multifunction joystick integrates main drive and SwingApp functions.
