Our Story

Redhead Equipment was established in 1948, originally called W.F. Fuller Machinery Limited, a long established Construction Equipment business in Saskatchewan and a distributor of Champion Products.

In 1968 Gordon Redhead purchased the business after 15 years of working as an accountant and office manager. He changed the name to Redhead Equipment, and a year later his son, Gary Redhead, joined the family business.

Gary bought his father’s interest in the company in 1980 and became sole proprietor, President & CEO of Redhead Equipment.

Over the next few decades Redhead would continue expanding, adding new brands to their equipment lineup, improving facilities, and adding locations to serve Saskatchewan even better.

Today, Redhead is proud to remain a family owned business, with over 75 years of experience doing whatever it takes to make a difference. From Redhead Equipment’s humble beginnings to now, we are proud to be rooted in Saskatchewan.

OUR COMMUNITY

Giving back is in our roots. We have made it our priority to support both Saskatchewan businesses and their community.

Redhead Equipment is proud to be an active member of the community and the province of Saskatchewan. We are committed to supporting charities and community organizations across our province each year through sponsorship, donations and participation.

As a locally owned and operated company, we have a responsibility to support the communities we live in. From hospital foundations and shelters to youth sports and community outreach, we support organizations that assist and enrich the lives of our staff, customers, and community. During any given year we donate to over 250 non-profits, community organizations and teams. We also encourage staff fundraising and match contributions raised by staff.

Our Commitment to Safety

The safety of our employees, contractors and customers is a top priority at all our locations across Saskatchewan.

We address workplace health and safety through our own Safety Management System. Training plays a key role in the system, ensuring our technicians and staff that travel to customer sites receive full internal safety training and meet pre-site access requirements for our customers.

Along with our own Safety Management System, we also partner with Mission: Zero, ISNetworld, and the Motor Safety Association to further our commitment to safety.

GIVING BACK
STARS

STARS

STARS provides people the vital care they need, when they need it the most. Whether it’s offering hands-on training to rural medical providers or providing rapid, emergency medical transportation for the critically ill and injured, they operate 24/7 from bases in Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Regina, Saskatoon and Winnipeg, anticipating and acting when people need their help.

In 2012, we helped STARS secure its first hangar – and home base – in Regina. Shortly after in 2014, we committed $1 million to support their operations. In 2017, we committed to an additional $1 million.

Together with STARS, we are committed to assisting people and families in their greatest time of need.

Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan

At their house in Saskatoon and their family room in Prince Albert’s Victoria Hospital, Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan (RMHC-SK) provides accommodation for families of sick children traveling away from their home to receive medical treatment. Their organization is a lifeline for families of sick children across Saskatchewan and we’re proud of our continued support.

Since 2010, our contribution has reached over $1 million to Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan. Most recently we donated over $170,000 through our Redhead Equipment Heavy Hitter Golf Classic.
